Oklahoma Will Be
Magical in 2006!
Charity Tour to
Preview at Opening Night in Oklahoma City
(Oklahoma City, OK) - Whenever any of us meet the needs or lift the spirits of another person
-- especially a child -- something magical happens. Welcome to Oklahoma
Charity Tour 2006.
The Oklahoma Charity Tour will be bring the mesmerizing illusions and
theatrical imagination of Master Illusionist David Thomas to some of the most
magnificent auditoriums and theatres throughout Oklahoma beginning in March
2006. The world's greatest illusions and magic's best kept secrets will
be presented in spellbinding precision. See why he was named Entertainer
of the Year in 2004. As executive producer and consultant for elaborate magical
productions, the results of David's talents can be seen in major theme parks,
vacation destinations, and special event productions around the globe.
The World of Magic Oklahoma Charity Tour will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of
Oklahoma and other statewide and local charities in each community, with a
particular focus on children. Each performance will provide charities with an
opportunity to showcase their services, creating opportunities to share their
message and attract new volunteers, supporters and participants. Each
performance will also be an opportunity for participating charities to raise
funds through securing sponsors and promoting ticket sales. Participating
charities may vary by community.
Visitors to Oklahoma City's Opening Night celebration on New Year's eve who are lucky enough to get a seat will have a chance to
see a preview performance in the large auditorium of the Civic Center Music
Hall at 7:45 p.m., 9:00 p.m., or 10:45 p.m. A special Charity Tour VIP
Orientation will begin at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in
Oklahoma City at 5:30 p.m. and conclude in time to attend the first magical
performance at Opening Night downtown. The VIP Orientation will provide
information about nonprofit participation, sponsorship, advertising, group
tickets and a general overview of the tour plans. Community, business,
nonprofit leaders and members of the media from throughout Oklahoma are
invited, as well as their spouses and guests. Complimentary refreshments
will be provided by the Crowne Plaza.
Orientation attendees will also receive badges for special "front &
center" VIP seating at the Opening Night performances and will have a
chance to meet the performers after the show. There is no charge for
the VIP Orientation, but advance registration is required.
